I started this blog to merely catalog reviews I’ve written about various music albums.
I plan on grading them in the following categories (Out of 10):
Initial Appeal: How hyped up was the album in comparison to listening to it? Was the release of the decade a fluke? Was a garage band’s album a silent success? This is what this is for.
Creativity: Is it generic or creative? Is it the same recipe spewed over and over again, or something never heard before? Killer riffs, or something similar to another album? Again, this is what this category is for.
Re-Playability: How often can you replay the album? Does the disk wear down or gather dust? That is the question. Mhm. Yes indeed.
Emotional Value: Does each song leave a haunting footprint in the sand, lingering after the record player stops, or is it just a commercial jingle made to catch your opinion?
Album Art/Video: A grading of the cover art and any DVD attachments (If applicable).
Overall: A recap of all the values in the album. Not necessarily an average of the scores (But it may be in certain cases) but instead a second-thought.
However, with the above being said, I am also going to include another section of this for me to merely rant and point out what I think is wrong with certain things. Be prepared for lots of swearing and offensive comments.
